Located behind the residence buildings in the north side of campus, Cootes Paradise offers some beautiful walking trails for those who are looking to get in touch with nature. Maps of the various trails located in Cootes Paradise can be found here.

McMaster Museum of Art

McMaster has its very own art gallery which can be found right next to Mills Library. It’s home to many beautiful collections and exhibits, and is a fantastic way to spend a quiet, peaceful afternoon. Admission is on a pay-as-you-can basis. More information can be found here.

Planetarium

The W.J. Planetarium is located in the Burke Science Building (BSB). It hosts shows dedicated to astronomy and astrophysics, delivered by a presenter, displaying images of astronomical objects. A schedule of shows at the Planetarium can be found here, and tickets are typically $7 per person.

McMaster Biology Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is a teaching and learning facility that also offers tours, allowing McMaster students to see a huge array of plants, including the elusive titan arum (also known as the “corpse plant”). To stay updated on when their tours are, check out their website.
